Talking Personal

I have officially finished my last semester for this year, and hopefully passed all classes to head into my 3rd - and final - year of uni. Exams weren't too bad until the last final moments when I had a mental freak out when I realised I was not at all near ready then what I should be. My last exam was two days ago and I celebrated in true Tracey style - with food! Unfortunately I was too hungry to really take photos. However, I did end up having decent hot pot with my girls for one of their birthdays and there was so much food.

I haven't really done much besides studying and working on the side, but I am excited to finally start my holidays and really just sit back and relax. It's been 3 weeks since I've read anything, which feels really weird, but I'm getting straight back into it. NaNoWriMo has been on a halt as well but hopefully I can get to at least 5,000 - 10,000 words. I only have a week left so that's definitely going to be a challenge.

I've been really enjoying just sitting at home and watching movies, although marathoning the Fast & Furious movies during exam period was not a good idea. Currently I'm going through Toy Story and will probably move onto the Marvels series. That's about it really.

Oh, one last thing. It's my birthday month this month so I'm thinking of spoiling myself a bit ... with more books! Hope you have guys have a great ending to November!

How Has Your Month Been?

  2. Hey Tracey! Congratulations on finishing your exams!!! I know the feeling of not having read anything really, because I had the same problem as I finished up assignments for the year and THEN exams as well!
My poor little NaNoWriMo sits at about 1100 words. :/ I'm hoping to maybe get 5,000 and hopefully I'll be able to do a better job after I've left high school or next year after my year 12 exams.
ha ha ha, oh I always end up marathoning something when it's exam period no matter how hard I try! I marathoned the Nickelodeon show Victorious! Oh dear! *shakes my head because is 17 and oh god what was I thinking*
Oooh and Happy Birthday for this month! Hope you have an awesome day and yes, spoil yourself with some books! :D

    1. Yeah, exactly I'm struggling to pick myself up now that I have so much spare time and can just laze around all day. I'm not sure how far I'm going to get with NaNoWriMo actually which is quite sad :(
HAHA don't worry, I love watching kids shows a well! And thanks, I shall try to get myself some good books!

  3. HOORAY for birthdays! I'm fascinated by your hot pot photo. The only time we tend to eat take away is fish and chips really, as neither me or hubby has a stomach that can cope with anything even remotely exotic. Is that raw mince? Do you cook it all at the table, or does someone cook it for you?

It sounds like you're spending your well earned break to relax, after exams no doubt you need it. You should start on TV series' next. The 100 is pretty good, are you a Walking Dead fan? Get stuck into those, the series is up to five now, but you'll breeze through them. They're incredible!

    1. Oh really? But your missing out! I love food, any type of food for that matter hahah. Yes so basically, the give you an assortment of raw food and greens and you can either have it with a chill soup or the normal one. The soup is constantly boiling so you know it'll be cooked and you just have it like that. It's just something fun I guess :)

I really want to get into the Walking Dead but I'm scared I'm going to be freaked out! I also want to watch How To Get Away With Murder. Thanks for the tip and love catching up Kelly! :)

  4. Congratulations on finishing all of your exams, Tracey! I hope you enjoy your 3rd year of uni - what are you studying? (If you don't mind me asking...) I'm starting my first year of uni next year after a forced gap year and I'm really excited though also a bit nervous! The food looks amazing! I've actually been to that restaurant before, but unfortunately it was when I was younger and wasn't willing to try much of the cuisine. Definitely going to have to go there again sometime. I hope you are able to have a relaxing holiday and enjoy getting back to reading and your birthday. :)

    1. Thanks Ebony :) I'm studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology! I'm kind of excited to graduate but it's also so weird cause I've already done 3 years?! Uni's great actually, you learn so much more about yourself and meet great people.

The place has decent food, if you're up for it definitely try again! I shall definitely enjoy the rest of these holidays. Thanks for popping by xx
