I reviewed a whi...I agree so much with this review! I reviewed a while ago and it felt the same to me. It's a story that goes beyond nazis vs the world. Or germans vs french, or anything like that, though it doesn't excuse them AT ALL either. It shows how the actions of others impact so many people in different ways. And I liked that outlook. I liked how (with beautiful prose) the author said: 'Here's what happened on this side, and here's what happened on this side. Make of it what you will'.
